(Setting an example as this is likely the most agreeable one, say you have x30 locked Lysandre's, you'd only need x4 for deck building purposes, so if you traded in x20 of those, it'd be essentially 2 free tokens for something that couldn't possibly be put to use either way.)Īt this point, I'd rather choose to trade in 10 locked cards that I couldn't literally use for 1 token (which I can actually put to some use), rather than have those cards pointlessly stuck there.Īye, but if you want Tokens for trading in cards, then you should be demanding at least five or so for every ten cards you trade, although even that wouldn't be fair, but 1 Token is just way too small for the number. Attack 1 : Mind lock Choose on of opponents benched pokemon and switch it with the active pokemon. They have way too many of a certain card. Serie : HeartGold & SoulSilver - Pokémon Stage 1.They have absolutely no use for the card(s).They could have all Pokemon learn one or the other, but they've already introduced them both, so there's no point now in switching the moves. But, Lock-On seems more mechanized, while Mind Reader is more Psychic. As for why they have both, only Game Freak can give a definitive answer. They don't want certain card(s) in their collection. They have the same effect, ensuring the next attack will hit.The only reason(s) I can think of a user considering using 'that feature' is if: It's not supposed to work that way, and it definitely wouldn't be a realistic addition either if it did. The feature I have in mind isn't supposed to grant you the same amount of tokens you spend opening locked packs. If none of the cards in that pack is useful, then you would want to trade them in, only to get 1 Trainer Token back. That means in order to get the same number of cards that pay-to-win players get out of a pack, we would have to buy 2 packs, which is one-hundred-and-ninety tokens. ^^Īgain, trading in 10 locked cards for only 1 Trainer Token is way too much of a waste of 189 tokens. They also give non locked stuff, but they expect at least we 'fight' a bit for it. Everythings trade locked because is given to us for free. I personally feel that gem-buyers already are in a very favorable position as is, but that's just my own opinion on this topic. But coming to say 'I dont like insert anything, remove' or even 'change' with no suggestion about waht and how to do, will never ever work. Either they don't live in Canada, or they just don't have the means to use real life currency for a feature that (I firmly believe) should ultimately be available to everyone without the use of money. However, this would put a damper for a lot of people who can't purchase gems. I'm not against buying gems or using real money, since I've always believed in supporting the things you love. Or program this feature to somehow, still allow us to have infinite energies for deck building purposes but any attempts to trade in these cards that come specifically from Rallying Cry impossible. Obviously we can't have infinite locked cards and a system where users can easily mistreat this, so I agree, a 'fix' would be necessary for this to work. There was an earlier suggesting of paying real money (via gems, probably) to unlock cards with the price depending on the rarity of the card. They would need to "fix" the codes that give the Rallying Cry deck because this would lead to infinite tokens.
